Day 4 - Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum

We then headed to Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum. The only wax museum I'd ever been to before was one about Native Americans in Cherokee, NC. Madam Tussaud's was far from similar. Everything was interactive - no ropes or glass panels. You can golf with Tiger Woods, sing for the American Idol judges, and even squeeze J-Lo's tushy!

These guys creeped me out, too.

The first room was current movie stars, celebs, and reality TV stars.

The second room was set up as a small chapel, so you could have your own Vegas wedding.

The velcro was worn out on the dress (not to mention it was huge), so Rachel had to hold it together in the back.

This is a lot of pictures, so I'll split up my Maddam Tussaud's posts.

Day 4 - Shop til... Dad buys Tix

We didn't really bother getting up early at all on this trip. We got up around 10ish, again. Dad brought us breakfast - more pasteries and keesh. We decided to walk to Fashion Show Mall. Dad lagged behind to check out Tix 4 Tonight.

I took a lot of pictures on the way over.

Our first stop in Fashion Show Mall was Betsey Johnson... we just browsed - love her stuff, but out of my price range. Rachel then felt the need to buy things, so we went in Wet Seal. Then I needed some necessities. And then we barely squeezed in Forever 21. See... Dad had been hanging out at 1/2 Price Tix/Tix 4 Tonight, and he decided to go ahead and buy tickets to Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum. It wasn't the plan for the day, but we worked to incorporate it. We had to put a stop to our shopping (Dad must've been bummed!) and head to the Venetian.

Now, our original plan was to eat lunch at Margaritaville, but we were grumpy, and we'd have to backtrack to get back to the Venetian. So after griping at one another, we decided to eat at... gulp... the food court at the Venetian. I got a Johnny Rocket's (overpriced) grilled cheese sandwich, and dad got Nathan's hotdogs for Rachel, Mom, and himself (he paid with a $50!).

We saw Blue Man Group the last time we were in Vegas - I highly recommend.

Day 3 - Sushi!

On our way back to Bellagio, we cut through New York New York, and Mom added "eat a New York pretzel" on our list of things to do.

We got stuck behind some slow guys wearing Hooters signs on their back. We got around them, then Dad went to buy something from Walgreens, and they got back in front of us. So we passed them again. And Dad just had to go check Tix 4 Tonight (obsession!). So we had to pass them a third time. Rachel was going to ask them if they got paid by the hour, but they looked like creepers.

Dad's brother told him that there was a really good sushi restaurant at Caeser's (the name escapes me), so I looked it up in the directory and called to get reservations if necessary. And just our luck, the restaurant had closed for renovation that week. But the girl on the phone was very nice and recommended Ichiban at Bally's that didn't require a reservation.

So we got dolled up and headed to Bally's for sushi.

We were seated immediately. It wasn't very crowded. It also wasn't nearly as upscale as the sushi restaurant in our resort (Yellowtail), but the prices were a whole lot nicer. We decided to each pick out a type of sushi roll. I picked Las Vegas Roll (spicy salmon), Rachel picked California Roll, Mom picked Philadelphia Roll, and Dad picked Yellowtail Roll. We had to fill out our own order. When our waitress came back to get it, she commented on the amount. We weren't certain how much we'd ordered, so she suggested we take off a type. We eliminated the California Roll. Rachel ordered a salad.

Our food was delivered, and we were glad we didn't get any more. Mine was the best. Dad's wasn't very good... kind of bland tasting. We should've eliminated his. Mom was the safe one, and she only ate that and tasted the Las Vegas roll.

The bill was only $30 - as much as breakfast and lunch! Very good deal.

On the way back to our resort, we stopped at a cute, kind of raunchy gift shop. They had adorable onesies:
